Bequests

Support our work into the future through a bequest to the Volunteer Support Fund

Conseil senior, donation, heritage

How your Will can change lives

As a supporter of the CFS Foundation you are part of a network of people and organisations who care deeply for the volunteers of the SA Country Fire Service and recognise the significant – and often hazardous – service our volunteers give to their communities.

This selfless service can lead to injury, even death, and loss of property for our volunteers. The Foundation provides immediate and ongoing financial support to volunteers and their families in times of great need.

Leaving a gift in your Will is one of the best ways to assist our work and guarantee support for our brave volunteers into the future.

You can make a bequest in several ways, by leaving to the Foundation:

a specific sum of money

a portion of your estate

specific personal property or real estate.

(See below for suggested wording.)

Please advise us of your intentions by submitting a Bequest Intention Form.

Our promise to you

As an organisation we recognise that your consideration for the work of the CFS Foundation in your Will is a most significant gift.

We will promise that we will:

  • use your gift efficiently and cost-effectively so it has the most impact
  • safely invest and prudently manage every donation you give
  • respect your privacy and look after your gift to us with sensitivity and care
  • remain secular, transparent and accountable
  • give you the choice about how we contact you in the future
  • be here for you.

If there is anything you would like to know about your gift to us, or the individuals you are helping, please contact the Chief Executive Officer.

We recommend that you seek professional advice in making a bequest, and also speak with your family and loved ones about your intentions.

Letting the CFS Foundation know if you have included us in your Will makes a smooth handover of your gift and ensures your last wishes are carried out.
